Hi all, I'm getting ready to submit and would appreciate any input on my school list. I have 45 schools right now and am trying to knock that down to 35ish. Please let me know if I should get rid of any or consider other schools, though I'm pretty dead set on applying to CA schools. Stats:
White/Hispanic, CA, CC -> UC, 3.75 GPA, 517 MCAT, strong clinical, volunteering, and shadowing but ZERO research.

Hey! I have a very similar story to you (white/hispanic, CC transfer and no research experience) and similar stats (very close GPAs and slightly lower MCAT). I applied this past cycle and received 7 interview invites with no research experience. My honest opinion is that most top 20 programs aren't going to offer you an invite unless you have a really compelling or unique application (think olympic athlete) if you have no research experience. If you look on the MSAR most of these top programs have 97-99% of their class that participated in research prior to starting medical school with the exceptions likely being non-traditional career changers.

I spoke to Morsani COM's dean of admissions and they do not interview individuals without research experience. I would def remove the programs that @Faha suggested to remove along with IU, FAU and Illinois (their OOS tuition is like 100K). I would also add Hofstra
