Hey guys! I'll be applying to this year's admissions cycle for both DO and MD. I'm looking for suggestions on my school list!
Numbers
- ORM, CA resident
- 3.7 GPA, 3.7 sGPA (upward trend, averaged 3.82 2nd-5th year)
- MCAT: 505 (126,125,126,128) - > second time 510 (127, 123, 128, 132)
- I am really worried about my 123 CARS, I am really paranoid that schools will filter me out because of my score T.T
Activities
- Leaderships in four different clubs that served the underserved community (350 hours of non-clinical volunteering)
- 200 hours of clinical volunteering with an award for most exemplary volunteer
- 2 doctors shadowed (60 hours)
- very active at church, volunteering as a sound technician, small group leader for college and high school students
- I have been doing part-time scribe and part-time research at a plant pathology lab in UCR for the past 7 months (will be doing a presentation for research in late June)
I would like to go to a school that focusses on the underserved communities if possible (one of my strongest LOR's specifically talks about how I have stated that I am committed to the underserved)
Background
I lived in Korea, going to a Korean public school from first grade to sixth grade (I was born in U.S.) and I lived in a household that only spoke Korean even in America.
MD
DO
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys
EDIT: updated my list! Added more DO's and edited my MD list
