GPA: 3.88 cumulative, 3.82 science

MCAT: 517 (130/128/128/131)

State of residence: Indiana

Race/ethnicity: Asian (Indian)

Extracurriculars:
  • RA- kept a safe environment for the floor, planned events, built community (1000+ hours)
  • Research in an electrochem lab (1000 hours, likely to have a presentation in the fall)
  • Leadership role in club that connected distinguished alumni with current students (600 hours)
  • Undergraduate TA for Bio/Chem- Led discussion section, had office hours, graded papers... (200 hours)
  • Job as university tour guide (100 hours)
  • Biology Outreach volunteer (non-clinical)- Went to nearby elementary schools to foster an interest in science (40 hours)
  • Hospital volunteer in the ED and In-patient care- ran general errands, stocked rooms, interacted with/helped patients (250 hours)
  • Shadowing- Cardiologists, Hematologist (50 hours)

I feel like I have good variety with my extracurriculars but I am lacking in my volunteering hours. I was kept pretty busy with my job as an RA, but I don't know if that would make up for it.

My current list:
IU
OSU
Emory
Case Western
UCLA
UCSF
Northwestern
UMass
Maryland
Virginia
Michigan
Cincinnati
Colorado
Pitt

I want to apply to 20-25 schools. I looked at MSAR and my stats put me at the lower end of the ranges for some top tier schools, so I didn't really include those. Would appreciate any help regarding my med school list!

Anybody please help.
Is my lack of non-clinical volunteering going to seriously hurt my application? Also are there any schools I should add or delete from my list?

Any input would be much appreciated!

Thanks @Goro will do! I am planning on adding a service opportunity this summer but I have already submitted my app. Would the best way to include this new stuff be through the secondaries? Or should I call the schools and notify them that way?
