-Country/ state of residence: MI. Graduated from Top 25 Undergrad
-Race: White male
-cGPA: 3.9
-sGPA: 3.87
-Mcat: 510 (128/124/128/130)
-Research: 300 hours in neuroscience during freshman year of undergrad, no publications. I had a poster presentation.
-Clinical volunteering: Emergency Room Volunteer at local hospital 400 Hours
-Clinical Hours: No paid clinical hours
-Non-clinical: 100 Hours community service
-Physician shadowing: 300 hours shadowing an internal medicine doctor
-Extracurricular activities: Member of two clubs
-Teaching Experience: 3 years of tutoring experience to undergraduate students
-Hobbies: Fishing. Weightlifting. But neither of these were listed in my application.
-Awards: Tutor of the year, Dean’s list, Research Award, Phi Beta Kappa
-Work experience: Other than working in research and a tutor, I don't have any other paid job
-Specialty of interest: Neurosurgery, but open as I know it may likely change during rotations
-Interest in rural health: Not particularly

19 Schools I applied to last year: Toledo, Penn State, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Duke, Temple, Tulane, Tufts, Oakland, Central Michigan, CaseWestern, West Virginia, Michigan, Georgetown, Rush, Wayne, MSU, Loyola, VCU
A little background: I applied last year with these same stats, without the physical shadowing and about 50 hours less of community service. Because my MCAT was delayed, my application was sent before I received my MCAT Score back. I received secondaries at the end of July; however, I was late with submitting the secondaries with my first one submitted in mid-august and I was not complete with all of them until late November (I submitted them as I went, I didn't wait to submit them all together). I received 2 interviews, one waitlist and one rejection. Other than the schools listed in my school list, I would like to not repeat any of the schools that I applied to last year and was unsuccessful at. I would greatly appreciate help with a new school list. Thank you all for your time.
