So I've posted before about my chances, and I got the response that I should apply and hope for the best!

    AMCAS GPA: 3.52
    AMCAS sGPA: 3.56
    MCAT: 27R

    NYS Resident

I've done a clinical research project, I'm currently working on a bench research project (to be published), over 100 hospital volunteer hours, over 200 hours volunteering at other medical facilities, long-term paid employment (non-medical), medical mission trips abroad (all Spanish-speaking countries), helped lead a group therapy session (underserved, Hispanic teens), shadow in a clinic (underserved women), a minority medical club, other non-medical clubs at school. Also, I have a full merit-based scholarship at my college, a strong committee letter and a very strong personal statement.

I am Hispanic (URM), which is why I've mentioned that I have done my volunteering/mission trips to benefit the Hispanic community.

    My schools:

NY - Cornell, Mt. Sinai, NYU (3 VERY stretchy schools, but I have done work at 2 of them...), Downstate, Upstate, NYMC, Rochester, Albany, Buffalo, Stony Brook, Hofstra, Einstein
    MA - Tufts, BU
    NJ - UMDNJ, UMD-RWJ
    D.C. - GWU
PA - Drexel, Temple, TCMC, Penn State, Jefferson
    Chicago - Loyola, Rosalind

Any advice on additions or subtractions? I'd appreciate all input!

Consider adding Rush, UIllinois (known to give a very nice discount to Hispanics who've remained connected to their ethnic community through service), and maybe Vermont.

I was under the impression that Rush heavily favors Illinois residents? I read there were 5000 some odd OOS applicants and only 90 something interviews were awarded.

Rush has accepted 19% OOS matriculants. Everyone's risk tolerance varies, but I feel that > 15% is worth going for if you suit the schools' missions.

Thanks for the advice. Are there any schools I should eliminate?
