Sincerely appreciate help with school list. In addition to the above stats, Asian male, CA, just completed MS in Biology from top tier West Coast school, GPA 3.8, recent publication in top tier science journal, Re-applicant., will be doing medical research as I apply to schools. north of 500 hours of continuous medical volunteering and clinical experience. I am assured I will have good recommendations.

Thanks a bunch. Peace and love to you all.

Where all are you a reapplicant at? Any interviews last cycle? Gotta know these two questions to really give anything worthwhile in terms of input

Thank you. with MCAT 34 got 2 interviews last cycle. Both got wait listed and could not get off the wait list.
Applied to all CA schools,
NorthWestern,
BU,
U of Arizona,
Emory,
OSU(waitlist),
Cincinnati,
Mt. Sinai ,
Albert Einstein (waitlist)

Any issue with reapplying? Greatly appreciate your thoughts.

From the brief description youve given your application sounds fine. Schools like Ohio St and Einstein dont give IIs to people with some clear flaws in their app.

Did your 34 expire for this year?

Go through MSAR and identify schools you arent a reapplicant at that have an MCAT median roughly around 34ish that get <10k apps(ie Rochester, SLU, Hofstra etc)

No, my old MCAT is still good (2014). Just wanted to take a shot at the new one and happy to have gotten what I got. I was really disappointed about the outcome two cycles ago and just bit nervous. Wanna make sure to not repeat any obvious mistakes.

Thanks for the guidance. Let me get back with my school list and see if you would have any further comments.

Love and Peace.

I would delete the schools your MCAT is above the 90th percentile and that get >10k apps a year( ie RFU, Quinnipac, Gtown, NYMC etc)
Pick 1 or 2 of the reach category schools, call it a day and remove the rest.
Outside of UC Irvine and maybe one or two other ones I dont particularly recommend reapplying to the CA schools.
I wouldnt reapply to Boston U or Emory either.

I would add UIC and SLU. I would also consider adding W Michigan and Wayne St. While it's never easy to predict how a reapplicant with high stats will fair(and retaking an unexpired 34 isnt helping your cause) youll have a solid list if you can make those type of tweaks.
