someone posted that two particular schools called many of his EC contacts. what schools have the time? maybe this is why so schools apear to take a very very long time to get back to students.
The two schools were uvm and upstate...but when I went to interviews at these two school no one else knew if their's were called...one of mine was the person I did research with...who also wrote me a letter of rec...so maybe they were checking the letter of rec + papers and abstract I don't know it was really early in the year like sep before my app was verified....maybe they were trying to do this pre-verification/verify on their own?????? (I was answering the phone during lunch (only one school) at the other place and they asked if I worked there...which of course I said yes )
So medical school applications require all applicants to list a contact/reference phone number for all extracurricular activities and research that is listed on the application??

Original, the school that called one of your recommenders did not call mine. Shd I be worried? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
Don't worry. I interviewed at UVM in early November and was accepted and no one there called anyone who wrote a letter for me. I just thought I'd share that with you to alleviate any worries you might have that if they call your references you got a better shot/they are more interested in you, etc.....
