Schools recruiting HPSP?

I was looking over some secondaries for schools, and I noticed a lot of them asked if the applicant was going to apply for HPSP to fund medical school. I remembered hearing about a couple of schools who have a large concentration of HPSP students. This got me thinking.

Do you guys think the government gives some perks to schools that produce HPSP graduates? The evidence seems to suggest this. Uncle Sam offers a school a break for every x hpsp grad, I sure would ask on a secondary and an interview.

Easier reason:

HPSP=full tuition to the shool to the school for 4 years, no financial/loan concerns

the schools get the money whether you're HPSP or not.

Yes, but HPSP is easier. No need for the financial aid office to do anything.

for state schools, the military always pays instate tuition...you'd think they'd frown on getting out-of-state people in the HPSP....not that that matters for private schools, but its something to think about for a public medschool...
