Approximately what dates do most med schools start (orientation)?

Well, it really depends on the school. Some of them have summer "head start" programs, so you can theoretically start earlier than the "real" start date. Most of those are for URMs though. The only exact date that I know is for Temple. They will officially begin classes on August 28th. I would guess that orientation is around a week or so before the start of classes.

most start sometime in august. i know some start in july... finch? mayo?

There is a large variation. Mayo started on July 29 this year. U of Washington started on September 30. I think that most start somewhere in the middle of August or early September like most colleges.

U Mississippi has orientation on Aug. 18th....i haven't checked on anywhere else. a little early for me, but oh well
