I'm currently developing my school list, and I was just wondering which schools have strong programs in community-based research? For context, I'm a post-bacc student applying and my stats are not very strong (though upward trend to a 3.8 post-bacc if that's acceptable?). Belatedly though, I found a lot of passion with community-based research, and my PS and experiences are especially focused on my community + work in underserved areas and children.
So while I feel like I'm definitely not an ideal candidate for a research-heavy school (honestly not even sure if my stats can let me be picky at all), and mostly building my list of schools with underserved focus, it would be great to know if there are any schools with this blend of underserved focus + social/clinical research rather than basic science, which I might be more appealing candidate for?
Thank you so much and let me know if you need more information (I wish I could give MCAT score because I know it's hard to give suggestions without, but I don't have one yet, so really any schools that apply or come to mind, and I'll filter once my stats are more clear!) Also feel free to move this if a better forum may fit!
