Does anyone know which schools have a reduced preclinical (aka basic science/textbook/expanded clinical) curriculum? I know of Baylor (1.5/2.5) and Duke (1/3), but are there any others? Maybe Case Western?

Upenn is compressed. Duke actually requires a year of research, so it is more a 1, 1, 1, 1. (Basic, clinical, research, clinical)
I might have switched the middle two years.

Just trying to get my point across. Sorry, my computer was tripping.

U Vermont squeezes it into 1.5 years and then you start your rotations in the middle of second year. I heard it puts extra stress on them to cram all of it in, but they enjoy the rotations more than sitting in class. Why do you ask?

And Jalby, erase those excessive posts! por favor...

••••I was making a list of schools to apply to, and I really want to go to a school that compresses the pre-clinical years.

Baylor has a condensed curriculum which compresses the basic sciences into 1.5 years instead of 2 years. It's great-- you get to start rotations 6 months earlier than everyone else and have hands on experience *before* Step I, which, I've heard has its benefits. Most of all, you're done with the bookworming 6 months earlier than other people.

you can potentially start clinical rotations early at hopkins too.

I even searched thru some school websites using the links on usnews, couldn't find any others (in the Top 50 at least according to USNWR.

I think that's actually it. I looked into that last year and only came up with about 4 schools.

Ohio state does have an independant study program that you can complete early, but you still can't start the clinical until the third year.
