Science Classes

Do you think it is wise to take more then one science class at a time to knock your pre-reqs out? Little background info: Single mom, work and go to school full time. I?m hoping to enter medical school in the 2006, plan to take the MCAT in April 2005,I'm using the Kaplan Review book. Thanks in advance for your time. 😕

Basically, you want those science classes to be A's so that your science GPA is strong for your application. If you can work, parent, take the courses and do well--then go for it. Remember in medical school you will be taking multiple science classes at once and it may be beneficial to demonstrate your ability to handle multiple science courses simultaneously.

If you feel that you cannot do all this at once than perhaps you should take an extra year (parenting is time consuming!) to ensure that you don't perform poorly in your pre-reqs.

i will be. but then again i am not a single mom working and going to school full time, more like a 16 yr old who will just be attending schoo.

If you think that it will affect your science gpa in a detrimental way then i would advise against doing it.

you should ask the non-trads. they prob. know better.

I'm a non-trad who worked full time and fulfilled pre-reqs in night school while preparing for the MCAT. It's definately doable--you just have to keep focused.

treese how many prereqs have you finished so far? I to am looking to take the '05 mcat and start med school in '06!
