Does anyone know if it's customary for so many schools to be sending out secondaries without screening? It seems like they all are.

It's rare, but it happens. As examples, UPitt was inviting this year off of primaries and UMich was inviting state residents off of primaries. The vast majority of schools only interview after everything is in, and even the ones that will interview from primaries only usually are doing it for state residents.

Michigan was doing that for non-residents too. I got an interview off the primary and I am from New York.
