So I've been trying to find a set of scrubs that fit and I've run into a rather irritating problem: scrubs seem to use the "waist-measurement determines all pants dimensions" method of cutting pants. This wouldn't be terrible, except for the fact that they also feel waist size is proportional to inseam i.e. small waist/ short inseam vs. big waist/ long inseam....I don't know where they get this idea, I see a lot of tall skinny people walking around and reletivly few tall fat people...but that's neither here nor there.

I'm 6'4" with a 32" waist...is there any website I can go to, or any other way, to order a pair of scrubs that will fit me well?

thanks!

Hey! I'm a tall fat person! Speak for yourself!

but in a pinch you could get the "skinny" scrubs and undo the seam at bottom of your pantlegs. Depending on the hem, it'd probably add about an inch. (Though that might not be enough to keep you from looking a little highwater, tallboy.)

ok....but I know I've seen tall thin docs walking around...they have to get their scrubs from somewhere....they can't just be un-hemming them, that gets you an inch at most....

does anyone know of a website for tall thin scrubs?

My wife sews her own scrubs. It takes her about an hour and a half to do a pair, and costs about 8$. Or you might be able to find a tailor to do a custom job.

Could you maybe ask the tall skinny docs you keep seeing where they get theirs?

dc

And why didn't we think of that?

I'm 6'3 with a 33" waist and I've never had a problem. They have draw strings for a reason. Just get the fat dude scrubs and tighten up the strings.

Doesn't that make you look like a hiphop ish dude? 😳

Probably a little bit, but they're scrubs. Are you really going to be picking up that many chicks in the OR or the anatomy lab?

Desperate times call for desperate measures 😀

My hospital has both regular and "long" scrubs available. Unfortunately, some of us still could use a "short" scrub pant and must roll the bottom of their scrubs to see their feet! 😳

This is what I do. It's not like they are supposed to fit without the draw string, nor do they look funny when you do this as scrubs are loose to begin with.

So what color scrubs does everyone where? Teal, light blue, misty green, etc.... 😎

My wife's favorite scrub fabric is a multi colored band-aid print.
