Hello, I am coming for an Emergency Medicine rotation at Beaumont and am wondering if I will be wearing scrubs while working in the ED. Also, I have heard that everyone wears long white coats? Any information on these two things would be really helpful as I am packing.
Thanks!!!

Business atire and white coats (lab coats but thicker material) are the med student uniform here, even in the A+E (Accident and Emergency). You'll be offered scrubs in the operating theatre, but as soon as you leave its back to shirt and slacks.

Where are you coming from so I can give you a few tips on additional skills you might need here?

Okay, thanks! If I am doing A + E, should I expect to be in the operating theater? In the US, Emergency rotations are separate from the surgery part.

I'm coming from the US so any advice on housing would be great! I have looked at dart.ie, but was wondering if there is anything else.
