Trying to get inside the mind of a pre-med: What search engine do you use?
A friend of mine recommended a site called "Google". Weird name, but worth checking out.
I use "Other". It's not as well known as some of the others, but it gets the job done.
Hmm, I should check that out. Although FireFox seems to prefer this "google" site.
Where's the option for HotBot?
Interesting how people used to always use Yahoo! Google has really taken over.
Wow I haven't heard that used in like 5+ years literally...
What about Lycos??
And what about that site where they claimed you could win 10,000 just by searching"?
There was an article in Wired not too long ago about how their CEO totally screwed up their project development. I may be wrong, but I think Yahoo had the opportunity to buy Google (before it exploded) but passed.
I use PubMed.
I was an early Yahoo adopter (hey, in 1995 there weren't a lot of good options). Old habits die hard, or in this case -- not at all. Yahoo is still my "home" page.
What about that Jeeves fella? I'd probably search him more if he'd do my laundry and open the door for my guests. Silly online butler, what good are you?
same here... looks like we're the only 2
that was 'lol'icious
oh snap... that reminds me of homework...
I second that plus webMD, OVID, micromedex
i use google search, like most people who use a computer. however, i prefer yahoo finance over google finance, so it's my homepage. however, i use yahoo finance to check the performance of the google stock that's in my portfolio. seeing that about 95% of people who took this poll prefer google makes me want to buy more.
Wow, this is a useful poll! Can you start one about which brand of deodorant pre-meds prefer?
I usually use Google for searches.
However, Yahoo! is still my homepage because of the news and weather report right on the front, that I can see as soon as I open my IE window.
I love Yahoo! Google is so bland, and I don't even like their email system...although google checkout is pretty awesome. I like how yahoo has everything right in front. I also use their pop-up blocker and have them as my homepage!
You all seriously need to get onboard with Dogpile. It's the mother of all search engines.
Doesn't everyone use google, regardless of profession?
Make that 3
