So my college requires a year of writing and so do most med schools; I took argumentative writing my freshman year but my schedule is currently built so that I'm taking "Advanced writing" (the second requirement) fall semester of senior year - med schools will likely not see the grade unless they request senior grades before making a decision (which I haven't heard of them doing?).

Do you think this would be a problem or no? I've taken a couple classes that have writing as a component including a Law class but no other english.

I'm not sure which schools you're applying to but I haven't seen many that require writing at all. But in any case, the vast majority of schools don't care if you have a couple of courses still in progress when you apply as long as they're completed by the time you actually start medical school. I can't imagine that this would be an issue.
