Secondaries from the following schools?

I am still waiting for secondaries from New York Med, Chicago Med, and Loyola. Anyone receive these? I have already received and returned the other schools's forms about two weeks ago.

I'm in the same boat as you, nmehta! I still have not received those three secondaries yet, and my AMCAS was sent to these schools on 8/23. Loyola may take a bit longer than the other two, since they screen though.

I've called Finch a couple of times - they had some screw-up with their secondary, so they're way behind. Yesterday she said they were on I think cycle 32 (check your transmittal note for your cycle)...

Hi....I received my secondary from Loyola in the middle of August. They didn't receive my MCAT scores until the middle of July so, in my case, it wasn't until a month later I got my application.

Received Loyola around 3rd week of July; AMCAS was sent 3rd week of June. Chicago area resident. So the turnaround was ~1 month, and it could be a little longer for out-of-state.

Well, thanks for all the help. I received the New York Med secondary today, and I will send it out tomorrow since there is no essays. I really get nervous about these, since there is no way to tell the committees about ourselves, and they are just going to judge us on numbers which every one has.

Does anyone know if Loyola screens primaries prior to sending out their secondaries?

I believe they do. The MSAR book says they send out secondaries "after screening."

i think they do, but it is very minimal. what i have read says they look to see if you have met 'basic requirements'. whatever that means.
