Typing always is better (more professional) if it's an option.

Agree. Having it typed is always better than handwritten. Easier? Probably not. I usually feed my "please type" applications thru the printer, or I paste a print out onto the paper application itself. No-edit typewriters are not my friends.

I went out and bought a typewriter at a garage sale. You can also buy the whole Adobe Acrobat package and make the .pdf applications editable. I did one or two apps in Acrobat, then decided it was too time consuming, and went the typewriter route. I kind of like how noisy it is ... I feel very productive, even when I'm just filling in my AAMC ID number.
