secondary photo

Do you have to show your upper body in a secondary photo or is a photo of just a face ok? Do they really care what I look like or is it just for purposes of identification should you get an interview? I have a picture where I did something very different, but not too crazy, with my hair and it might stand out a bit, is standing out on an app photo a bad thing.

I hate smiling in photos. I can't fake a smile I have to be in a good laughing situation to smile effectively.
