Hello! I am a 4th year vet school student, currently applying for small animal rotating internship through VIRMP. I had written a draft letter of intent that I though was alright, but I've sent it to a few people at my vet school, and received critique indicating that the letter needs a lot of work.. Unfortunately, writing about myself is not my strong suit, and there's not much guidance online that I could find. I know it may be a lot to ask for, but if anyone who has gone through VIRMP successfully (got matched in the past) would be willing to share their letter (inbox) to give me some inspiration, I would really appreciate it.
If sharing your letter is too personal, I would be glad to hear your general advice on writing it. I have the overall structure down, I think; I am more interested in how to emphasize my good qualities without it sounding like empty statements and while maintaining humility. Thank you!
