So my biochem class was all take home and as a result I haven't learned a single thing. Thus, I'm not taking biochem II. However, I was wondering if I should keep my book. I have "Principles of Biochemistry", Lehninger, 5th edition. I heard some dental schools use this same book and that new editions aren't released that often. Being that this edition came out this year (i think), I was wondering what school are using this book and will continue to do so.

Specifically, what biochem book is used at Temple? Also, does Maryland make students take biochem or are they expected to already know it since it was a prereq?
