send update letter to PENN

so this is a question that should be easy to look up, but i couldn't find it. Does Penn allow you to send an "update letter" to be added to your file? I know some schools do not like it.

You are referring to upenn, yes? I sent an update letter to upenn and got an interview invite a few weeks later. I know someone else sent one and it was confirmed they added it it to her file.
