sending electronic thank you cards

Good or bad idea? I figure as long as it doesn't freeze the person's computer, it is much better than bombarding the person with yet another thank you card from the numerous people he/she has interviewed. Having it in the form of an email which they can delete is less of a hassle and it gets the point across just as effectively.

Bad idea. Just doesn't look professional.
 
I would say no to an electronic thank you card. I think a hand written note is much better.

On a slightly related point, I know people traditionally send thank you notes to their interviewers, but is it recommended to send them to a dean of the school (like if they talked to your interview group, but not you personally)? I'm thinking no, but I wasn't sure.

You don't need to send thank you cards anyway, but this is worse than not even doing it.
