do u guys know how fast they are in updating our status pages?
i'm not sure if my secondary has been received yet or not, and stupid USPS isn't tracking the application like it was supposed to

rCubed did you hear anything yet? I sent mine out last week as well but no update on the page. I'm sure they are getting a ton of supps since the deadline was today for lots o people, so they're probably backed up. I just hope mine got there!

i called on friday, and they said that it was taking some time to enter them onto the computer and our status pages aren't the most update things, so it could be that the applications are already there and we just don't know it

wouldn't it suck if the application was deactivated cuz it got there a little late or something?

Chillax guys. My due date was today, but I sent it in a week ago. I called the office last Thursday to check since it didn't show up on the website, and the lady just said, "Assume we have it." They have a serious lag time in entering it on the website.

I got back from Europe and had to cram like crazy to get it done. The due date is only a couple of weeks I think. PS. My status page shows it is not in either and my due date was the 4th. I'm not worried though.

Your supplementary info is due two weeks after they send you the request and your LORs are due four weeks after their request. Sort of a pain... my premed committee is annoyed since they don't send out any letters at all until 8/18... but maybe this will encourage them to get *all* of my letters out earlier 😉

last year NW updated the status page about 3 weeks after they had actually got my stuff. I would normally say call and check but the NW admissions people don't tend to do it - they just tell you to 'trust' that everything was fine. Thankfully however (unlike some other schools...) there were no horror stories last year on SDN of forms getting lost at NW...so 'trust'ing may be reasonable for that school.

has anyone heard of northwestern rejecting secondaries cuz it was late
i'm kinda worried about mine now

i mailed it priority on thurs night, when it was due the next mon

i thought about mailing express, but express requires signature delivery confirmation
and looking at other schools, they gave different addresses for different mail delivery services

so i chose to just send it priority, in case the address was a mailbox instead of an office

now, i regret my decision
should have just called the school to ask
but oh well too late now

last year my app was a couple of days late. I called and asked the school about it and they said it wouldn't matter if it was just a day or two late. it never made any difference that I know of.
