Sending MCAT scores...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
they are automatically uploaded to your AMCAS application. AMCAS transfers the information from your app to schools periodically though a FTP I believe. so you don't have to send them individually, as you did SAT scores.

I could be dreaming this, but I thought I had to "release them" by clicking a button on the MCAT website..... This was a couple years ago though.

You don't have to release them, if you chose to you'll just get emails from schools telling you to consider them. When you apply to schools using amcas they will get your scores whether you chose to release them the day of your mcat or not.

If you apply to DO schools, you have to release them to AACOMAS. They're automatically released to AMCAS for MD schools though.

if you're looking at texas, you got to release to tmdsas

You can do this when you apply though, you don't have to do it the day of your MCAT.
