Hi,
So I'm new to the forum. I'm a senior biology major and I'm thinking of switching to pre-dent. I was pre-med for awhile, became disillusioned with becoming a doctor, and continued with my biology degree. I graduate in May and am taking a year off before professional school.
I am wondering what the best course of action would be at this point. I'm planning to shadow some dentists, as soon as they get back to me. I've taken all the required pre-requisites. I haven't taken the DAT yet.
My pre-health advisor said to take the DAT next spring and submit my apps in June.
I'm trying to decide on some good bio. courses for next year (that will prepare me for DAT and dental school), as well as a plan for a year off (I need to pay the bills and do something meaningful!)
I haven't taken anatomy or physiology and I only have time to take one next year. I'm also thinking of taking developmental biology.
Sorry this was so long--I have so many questions. Any advice would be appreciated.
