Senior Year GPA Question

I just got my fall grades and I'm less than thrilled. What was supposed to be my easy elective gave me a B, and the professor has yet to give me a reason why, (the grading structure for the class was non-existent and he never gave us grades for any assignments). Anyways, I doubt he's going to change anything so my question is, how much does senior year GPA matter? I didn't do well junior year, but if I can show improvement from last year, will medical schools be more likely to "forgive" that?

Have you already applied? If so, it doesn't matter much.
If you heaven t, than senior year GPA is just as important as all the other years.
