Hi,

So I was originally going to wait until next year to apply, but my plans for this year fell through and I've decided to just go ahead and apply this year and get my primary app in within the next week.

I retook my MCATs in August (thinking I got in the 32-34 range). GPA 3.87, great LORs, pretty good ECs (three years of research and one pub, americorps (2 years), lots of clinical/shadowing experience)

What do you think my chances are at the top ten? I know a lot of these schools are nonrolling, but at the same time, I know there are ton of applicants more qualified than me applying?

Anyone get into a top ten this late in the cycle? Any advice?

Thanks!!

i know that some people have gotten interviews into january and february and have gotten in.

Most of the top 10 is non-rolling admission. So getting a late interview does not necessarily mean you are competing for less spots. A late interview at a place w/ rolling admission can reduce you chances quite a bit.

is there any way to tell which school is rolling and which is not? that would be helpful when filling out secondaries.
