Is it correct that this information is not entered on application, but rather on secondaries?

So the work/activities section on the application is more non volunteer and non shadow things... correct?

Incorrect. The Experiences section should include your listings for "Community Service/Volunteer-Medical/Clinical" and for "Community Service/Volunteer-not Medical/Clinical". One would also list one's Physician Shadowing (usually under the "Other " category.

Secondaries may ask for this information again in a different format, or about future plans for the next X months (giving one the opportunity to demonstrate how one will be strengthening one's application if it has weak spots in it). Most Secondaries do not ask this, however.
