Hello everyone,

Recently, I was told by one of the alleged educational experts at school that your Step 2 scores can be inferred by your shelf-copy scores throughout the year. So my question is, for all those who have taken Step 2 and gotten your scores back, how much water does that theory hold?

Thanks.

I personally found the shelf exams to be slightly more difficult than Step II. Step II is geared to test everything, but not as much in depth as the shelves. Still, I'd study for it.

What is your school's advice about the correlation between Shelf and Step 2?

I consistently score in the 80-85% on them. What can I expect?

We didn't get any more information other than "if you did well on shelf, you will do well on Step 2's.

Yeah, the educators over there aren't all up to par.

Don't "expect" anything. You still need to study for it and I would recommend no less than two weeks. If you study as well as for your shelfs you should do well, probably better than average.
