Hey! Who applied to the Shenandoah University or Jefferson College of Health Sciences OT masters programs? Their deadlines just passed, but I was curious who applied. Also, if you get accepted/ an interview, please let us know, because it would be awesome to know where they are in the process.

Has anyone heard from Shenandoah? They told me weeks ago that people who were accepted would get emails two weeks after the deadline, which is today. I'm wondering if the letters have been sent out.

Hey I applied back in November and still haven't heart anything. The admissions adviser told me that we would be notified through mail if we were accepted or not. She also said it would be late February early March.
Have you heard anything yet?

I got a letter in the mail for an interview from Jefferson College of Health Sciences! Has anyone else heard from Shenandoah or Jefferson?

i heard back from Jefferson, i plan on going to the interview next friday

i heard from jefferson- am going to the interview friday as well.

How did your interviews at Jefferson go? I have one there tomorrow and I'm getting kind of nervous since i heard they only accept a very small number of students. Does anyone know how many applicants Jefferson got this year?

I went to the Feb 25th interview for JCHS. Did you go to yours yet?

Well it's early March now and I am still waiting to hear from Shenandoah. So I am assuming that this is not good thing =/

I just got an email from Shenandoah today that I was put on the alternate list. Crossing my fingers!

I just got my acceptance letter from Jefferson yesterday and that's where I plan on going!

I as well got my acceptance from Jefferson today... I still haven't decided what I want to do..

I applied to Shenandoah and was accepted, and will be going in the fall :)

i got into jefferson, but i am going to another school. so... whoever is next on the waitlist will be receiving some stellar news in the near term!

Has anyone heard back from shenandoah lately? I applied back in NOV and have yet to hear anything. Do they do interviews or just go straight into accepting people.

I heard from them in mid-March - they do not do interviews, just send acceptance/rejection emails. If you have not heard ANYTHING from them, email Linda Burrow, the program coordinator. She's very nice and helpful. Also, check your spam just in case the email went there - it would be from her email address.

I applied before the deadline way back in December and still haven't heard anything from them since my application confirmation email. I emailed the Graduate Admissions Specialist a month ago and was told they would have final decisions in roughly a week. So I waited expecting to hear something soon and still nothing.

I emailed both the Graduate Admissions Specialist and Linda Burrow on Monday and still haven't heard back from them. (And I've checked spam to make sure I didn't miss it)

What is going on? Am I the only one having this issue? At this point I'm pretty disappointed with Shenandoah. I realize prospects of acceptance are probably pretty slim (and the good news is at least I've been accepted somewhere else). I would just like to know one way or the other so I can move forward.

Got an acceptance email from Shenandoah today!!! Just waiting for a letter in the mail and then paying my deposit! SO excited!

Congrats, future fellow classmate :)

does shenandoah only have a hybrid program?

does shenandoah only have a hybrid program?

Yes, it's only a hybrid program - it's one day, all day in-person instruction, and the rest is delivered online. They have a cadaver lab (which is important for a lot of people, and for good reason), and fieldwork placements, which are done on days other than the in-class day, can be arranged to be done close to where students live, as many of us commute in from other areas. I am just starting the program now, and there are several of us in the DC area (Arlington, Fairfax, DC proper, etc), and a few people coming in from a few hours away (Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Virginia Beach). There are no OT programs close into the DC metro area except at Howard University, which is in a not-so-great area and is currently having financial difficulties as an institution. Otherwise, the next closest ones are Shenandoah and Towson, which is up near Baltimore. GMU, Marymount, and GWU do not have OT, despite having several of the other allied health sciences.
