Well, I rushed to try to go for the match this year and I just got my Step 1 score back. I'm an IMG, just graduated this year. It was <200. My Step 2 CK is in a month. I have excellent LOR, volunteer experience, leadership experience, in both undergrad (psychology major) and med school, have US clinical experience, and have been very psych oriented since the beginning. I was gonna send in my application as soon as I got my score, pending my Step 2 CK (I already passed Step 2 CS), but now I'm thinking maybe I should wait until my results for CK, which won't come out until mid November.

What is better for my chances? To send it now, pending CK with low step 1 score, or much later in November with my CK scores ready?

Thanks for your advice in advance. Gah.

This is a tough situation but it seems like waiting until mid November would be a bad idea - I think most programs have sent out most interviews by that point? Make sure you apply very broadly...

Get it out--best case, you get interviews this year anyway; worst case, you have to wait until next year.
