Right now I have already graduated and worked for and shadowed an ophthalmologist and an optometrist (low vision specialist and therapeutic). Right now though b/c unfortunately before I didn't know what I wanted to do till I graduated I didn't take the courses I should have and still need to take a class this fall. I have been studying for the OAT and plan on taking it the beginning of December. And I was wondering with me having one more class, and taking the OAT at that time will that be enough time to submit that part of the application if I have all my recommendations and essays done.

Well if you have only one semester left, it doesn't sound as if you are that far off! Finish your OptomCAS application, and get your transcripts sent out. If you are able to move your OAT date up to October, that will allow you to retake it before the March OptomCAS deadline (you must wait 3 months before retaking) if your scores are not competitive enough.

I think you will be fine, and might even get an interview if the OAT scores are good, and you only have one class to go.

Thank you, for replying.:)
