Hi,

I am an Asian female. I am a Texas resident. I will graduate in Winter 2015. My cGPA was 3.85. However, I got a C in Anatomy and Bs in my other courses in Spring 2015, which dropped my cGPA to 3.7. Should I apply to a post-bac or special masters program to boost my GPA?

Here are my stats:
Predicted cGPA: 3.72
Predicted sGPA: 3.6

***I have a C on my transcript for Anatomy

EC:
Three months of research internship at a medical school
Three years of research in a hospital/university (one 2nd author publication and 1 incoming publication)
Three years of volunteering in three different hospitals
Three weeks of volunteer abroad experience
Over 320 hours of shadowing physicians during undergrad
President/Founder for club sports for 2 years

In my perspective, my GPA is low considering the mean GPAs of most Texas medical school matriculants to be 3.8ish. I worry that I wont get an interview or an acceptance letter if my GPA doesn't improve.

Thank you so much!!!

No not at all. Post baccs are designed for people with at worst under a 3.4-3.5 or so. SMPs for under at best a 3.25 give or take. Focus on your mcat a good mcat and you'll be set with a 3.7. There are a number of people even at highly ranked med schools who got a C in undergrad. It happens move on
