Research under academic activities will probably suffice. I can see writing about an article about you to be a little narcissistic lol. Let your accomplishments speak for themselves on your app.

I had an online article written about me and my undergrad research by my university, is this worth including in my application. If so, where should I put it/mention it? TYIA

This is not going to enhance your candidacy. A glowing letter by your research PI will be far more impactful.

Just put down your research activity. Don’t mention the article. Not saying you are but it can come off as prideful and arrogance and the risk isn’t worth the minor benefits.
