This is fine. Do what you love and love what you do.I completed a research program the summer between my freshman and sophomore year that gave me 360 hours in research experience over the course of a summer. Is this enough for medical school if I focus on clinical experience and volunteering during this coming summer (summer between sophomore and junior year) and semester (junior year)? I really did not enjoy research and would rather spend my time working with people volunteering and getting clinical experience.
