I'll be going into my junior year in the fall and I've yet to select a minor. I'm majoring in Biology and quite frankly wasn't really all that interested in doing anything that meant extra classes. However a minor in chemistry at my school on ly consists of I think 2 or 3 extra classes. Therefore I'm curious to know if there are any of you out there who didn't pick a minor, and wether or not it could be detrimental to not have one.

Minors don't matter unless they make you stand out on your med school application, like a minor in a language or in art. I wouldn't sweat taking classes just for a minor, and just take classes you think you'd enjoy or would enrich your college experience. If you need to boost your science GPA, by all means take some upper level science courses you think you'll get A's in. But never take classes that you are required to take just to get a minor (which never matters anywhere anyways) and risk getting less than an A.

No. Minors are useless unless they are in a foreign language, for example.
