Hi everyone. I am scheduled to take the MCAT on July 7. I have taken ten practice exams so far (scores below). I didn't expect to start scoring in the range im in this soon. Is it worth rescheduling for a sooner date. My thought is its probably better to get a score sooner rather than later. Im not sure how representative these scores are for Altius and Next step. At the rate i'm going now I should be done with altius and next step as well as the last three AAMC exams within 2 and half weeks.

Im not sure how the practice exams are scored. As in, are they scaled against everyone who takes the exam or is the scaled score solely related to how many you get correct. I ask because I feel like these practice exam scores are deflated. (I know it is anecdotal) For instance, i saw a post on reddit the other day of someone scoring a 520 on one of the AAMC FL's. In their post they said they took a nap in the middle of it, paused it multiple times, and looked up a formula during the exams for one of the questions. Which is obviously not representative of reality.

Just take the test on your scheduled date. Also, is it even possible to reschedule your test for an earlier day? If so, the waitlist could be very long since everyone else will try to reschedule to an earlier date for the rolling admissions advantage.
Also, your scores are based on percentile rather than how many problems you get wrong. That being said, in my case, I took all my FL’s as if it was the real thing, and I got on the actual test what I got on AAMC FL4.

Thank you. That’s a good point, I just assumed I could.

Non the less, I’ll stick with it. I appreciate you feedback.
