Hi,

I am a re-applicant (I applied for 2015-2016 cycle, got 3 interviews out of 11 schools and 2 waiting lists, but couldn't get in). My application has not been updated or got better because I was working full-time until March 2017. Now I am planning to retake DAT on mid July so that at least I got better DAT score for this cycle. My question is should I retake and submit the application later or submit application asap and update the DAT score later?? and also when should I submit all my application to be considered as an early applicant? My stat is.....

OC 21
GC 23
BIO 22
RC 16
QR 18
PAT 22
TS 22
AA 20

  • 3.24 oGPA with a 3.49 sGPA,
  • 1500+ dental assistant hours and 2,100 hours of work experience.
  • Four LOR's, three from science professors, one from general dentist.
  • going to retake DAT on Mid July or mid August if I feel I am not ready.

To be honest im not sure if retaking the DAT will help unless you are certain you could do better, with the exception of RC your scores are very good. I know quite a few people who got in with much lower scores.
Your GPA is definitely on the lower side tho maybe take a class or two to boost it if you are not already.
It might also be the schools you applied to some have higher expectations than others you might want to stay away from out of state public schools since they're more strict with out of state applicants generally.
