You do not need to retake the MCAT. 512 is a good score and you are competitive for many low to mid tier schools and your state public schools.

wouldn't my CARS score raise a red flag though? its almost a 7 and a 6 (on the old scale). i heard a lot of schools screen out CARS scores below 8. But I am also an ESL/immigrant. i moved to the United States 6 years ago.

VR can get the most slack cut for it, and so it might be worth trying an app cycle, especially if you live in a "lucky" state that heavily favors its own. Otherwise, try all DO schools and some of the low-tier MD, like the below. Having service heavy ECs will help you, especially service towards those in greater need than yourself. If you don't get any love by late winter, then retake.

Quinnipiac

Oakland U Beaumont

WVU

EVMS

Rosy Franklin

MCW

Creighton

NYMC

VCU

Rush

Loma Linda (but read their list of don'ts)

Albany

Netter

Your state school(s).

Any DO school.

I'm the resident of an "unlucky' state- CA, doesn't really favor its residents :(
