Ugh. Hoped I would never have to post one of these threads, but here we go.
I scored a 28 on my mcat in May. 10, 9, 9. I had been scoring 12-13 in verbal on aamc practice tests, so I was extremely disappointed that this is ultimately what kept me from getting my 30+.
Anyway - I was so discouraged and upset that I did not apply with my 28 to any schools, thinking I would retake the test. However, I'm now wondering if I should have just applied with the 28 (or still could.) I graduated summa cum laude in May with a 3.9. I have hundreds of hours of shadowing with a primary care doc, and volunteering at a free clinic. I will be applying to (among others) KU Med, as a Kansas resident, to the Early Decision Program.
Are my chances good enough with existing score - or should I start studying again to retake?
Thanks.
