Should I take orgo I lab over the summer or next semester?

Was going to take it this semester, but I ended up going on medical leave last semester so that pushed everything back/messed up my schedule. Planning on taking the MCAT August 3rd.

Next semester I would be taking a neuroscience course, neuroscience elective, orgo 2, 1-2 other classes that I haven't decided, and TAing a gen chem course. I'd also be applying for med school (currently a spring semester junior)

Over the summer I would be studying for the MCAT, my physics proficiency so I can pass out of my last physics requirement, and taking an online anthro class at a community college to fulfill a gened.

really sounds like you're rushing. id take an extra year and give yourself space. IMO you need at 3 weeks of devoted MCAT time where that is the only thing you do besides eat and sleep and breath. That is not including the time before that you need (usually a couple months) of lighter studying. 1 extra year in the scheme of things is nothing. take it from me-- finishing early/on time doesn't get you any brownie points!

I'm definitely going to at least try and apply this cycle, because I think it's possible that I'll be just fine.

Do one thing at a time. If you're going to take Orgo in the summer and then your MCAT in Agust that doesn't leave time for you to study for the MCAT. You don't know if you'll do good or bad. I would suggest if you take Orgo in the summer and take the MCAT sometime after August-possibly the next year. Oh, and studying the MCAT while being a full time student taking advanced courses as such is very stressful.

Spread everything out and take the load of yourself!

Yeah, that's why I was thinking maybe to do lab during the fall and give my entire summer for the mcat only. I already have been reorganizing when to take things, like I can move taking the gen ed and the physics test till later.
