Should I take step 2 in July?

Should I take step 2 in July? My step 1 is 220? Should I take one month off in July to study for step2 and only start doing rotation from August onward or should I do a neurosurgery rotation in July and August? I am stuck between the 2...I can only choose one? If I take it in September, will they get to see my score?

i would only take step 2 if you can guarantee a score in the 240s. personally, i would do rotations during july and august and work your butt off. if you impress them, this will be more helpful than any step 2 score you can hit.
