Right now I have a 3.49gpa and around a 3.3sci gpa. I have 1 w in a 1 credit class. And 3 C's on my transcript (in calc1-2 and organismal diversity). I did retake calc 1 and get an A tho.

I am right now enrolled in a 1 credit BS waste of time class. I was forced to take it to stay in my current living situation. I really want to drop it. Its more work then most of my 3 credit classes, and now they want us to do some extra stuff.

I am really considering dropping it and taking the W. The reason I got 3 C's is because I slacked off my first 2 semesters. Semester 3 I got a 4.0, and this semester (semester 4) I should get a 3.7 or so. I dont want to do the work for this class... its just so pointless and it'll distract me from physics, which is kicking me in the **** right now. Would it be ok if I dropped this class? I really want to, but I dont want it to hurt any of my application chances.

I was in the same situation this semester. I had enrolled in German to make me a full time student. It was an online "blow off" class. It ended up being the most time consuming. I am also in physics and Zoo, and was having to sacrifice study time for those two to make tapes of myself reciting German. I decided to drop it, because I'll end up doing better in the other two classes. I am afraid if I would have stayed in it, I wouldn't have ended up doing very good anyway, just because I didn't want to put the time into it. It would've looked worse, to me, to do bad in it and my other two than to take the W.
