Should one put activities one plans on doing in AMCAS?

I'm plannning on doing research and shadowing a doc., so i def want schools to know I'm doing this!! Should I put this down on AMCAS, or should I update the schools at the end of the summer?

If you have already started doing the activities right now or by the time you submit your application, then I'd put them down. But if you are going to do these activities in 5 months or later on AFTER you've turned in your AMCAS app, then send it to the schools as an update.

So I take it you are gonna start doing these activities after the submission of your AMCAS application? First you have to see if the schools give you a secondary. I would submit it with your secondaries. Or, you could do it after your interviews. It is really up to you.
