was wondering if there was any way that I could ask the admissions office to relay to the admissions committee to provide a decision on my candidacy after being placed on the waitlist. I am currently signed up to start a SMP on 06/08 and was hoping to somehow ask if the admissions office could relay to the admissions committee if a decision could be made prior to that date.

How could I go about this without sounding like a total jerk/self-entitled *****/etc? I'm just trying to avoid spending the 20k on the SMP if the medical school does decide to accept me. Thanks for the help.
Good way to get rejected. You're asking to cut to the head of the line. Screams entitlement.

I really don't think this is a good idea. Everyone else is waiting for their turn. It seems like a good way to get an "early decision" definite and immediate rejection.

Go to the SMP, and hopefully they let you know soon enough so that you can get your money back from the SMP.

PLEASE don't ask for special treatment. It won't go well.
