Looking for a little advice. Quite ill at the moment with high fever and generally feeling like crap. However, I have huge interviews tomorrow and Saturday and really don't want to cancel. I'm sure that with some Tylenol and/or Dayquil I can pull it together for a few hours and get through tomorrow's interview. On the other hand, I don't want to compromise those that will interview me or fellow applicants.

Any ideas?

Locitamd,

I feel for you man. I was in the same boat last week and it was pure hell. Comtrex Day/Night for colds helped me out. Ginseng tea may also help boost your immune system. Make sure you've got a supply of Kleenex for the road. Good luck!

Would donning a yellow mask from a pharmacy be considered conscientious or idiotic? In my previous life I went to an interview with a cast on my leg- my foot was broken but I really wanted the position, I didn't get it. Does this sort of thing matter or just look bad?

Hi, I went to 3 important interviews sick last week with a head/chest cold. I still even went out the night before interviews to drink with residents. At the end of the interview day I was sure to nap though and wore extra warm coats/scarves, etc. NyQuil at night, DayQuil day, plus NO complaining during interview day in front of residents or faculty. Just one simple apology/excuse me, I have a cold, but didnt want to miss this interview as I am very interested in your program.
