Medical Malpractice Reform is a great sounding topic, but before signing this petition, keep in mind that it is not sponsored by a nonpartisan committee. It's sponsored by Volpac, an organization devoted to getting Republicans elected. This is not a medical group whatsoever, just a Repbulican machine.

It's also sponsored by Senator Bill Frist, who lost ANY credibility as a physician when he actually made an ad hoc diagnosis of Terri Schiavo for political gain.

This petition is about electing republicans, not reforming Medical Malpractice. If you really want to reform medical malpractice, look for bi or nonpartisan movements. This one stinks...

Anyone see the WSJ article from Saturday?... I love Ted Kennedy...
Not really....
Article pointed out that if insurance companies who are providing malpractice to doctors are making so much money like Kennedy claims, then why are they dropping out of malpractice inurance business? Guilty conscience from making so much money? No ite because of ridiculous settlements. Interesting stat was that Philadelphia alone gives out almost as many 1+million plus malpractice settlements as the entire state of California! You will never find me practing in Penn....
