What the hell is a year 1 medstudent doing with a stethoscope?

Technically, an owner can refuse service to anyone. Should he make an exception to the rule, probably. Chances are, the bouncer told the kid no, and the owner wasn't even around. Most clubs have the rule for security reasons, so people don't hide their face with a hat. Obviously his face isn't hidden. But you know how bouncers are with the rules.

The more important question is, why does local news SUCK so much!?!?

Haha - local news doesn't suck THAT much bro.

I think this blurb (from the Sikh American Legal Defense & Education Fund website) has a good reply:

“Business’ whose “no hats” policies do not allow for religious accommodation are in violation of the Freedom of Expression doctrine in the United States Constitution,” stated SALDEF Western Regional Director Kavneet Singh. “Such acts are blatantly discriminatory by nature and seek to denigrate not only the 500,000 Sikh Americans but also our brothers and sisters in other faith communities who wear religious head-coverings as part of their beliefs.”

As a religious hat-wearer, I sympathize with that point of view, but there is limited Freedom of Expression in private businesses, and rightfully so. For example, if someone were to walk around a club with a sign protesting for or against the war in Iraq, the club should be free to toss them out.

First off, I can't vote because why would anyone want to go that club? Is he trying to just make a statement...

Secondly, why would anyone be going to a club with a steth? I mean was he planning on needing to check someones heart rate or lungs?

Third, The funniest thing about the whole thing was they have no visible blah blah and then they randomly throw in TOWELS... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah that is funny... no visable towels... I mean what is that supposed to mean? don't come from the beach and or your shower...

Hillarious...

huh...maybe you should watch the clip again...first the heart question...now this!!!!

Ok I'm being mean...I need to get off this website b/c I will end up saying something I will regret (not just to you though)

My question to everyone is: If you allow someone from one religion to wear some form of religious head gear where do you draw the line? Do you allow all religiously based head wear to be worn or do you ban it all (like the owner has chosen to do)?

first off, to be honest I watched the clip without sound... lol and it appeared the way I answered the question...

Second? the heart question... I am not going to be embarrased by something I didn't know... and for not taking an anatomy and phys class as of yet... I think I was at least showing that I saw things from a chemical sense instead of coming from nothing.

Lastly, yes one shoudl be able to wear what his/her religion and or culture permits.

The club was obviously a bunch of yahoo's that were being racist.

I still think it is funny that ever had a towel, I am meaning bath towel, rule on their entry...
